Struggle against apostate Suddhi Movement (1922-25)

When Swamy Shradhanan launched his Suddhi movement in 1922 & 1923 with his so called aim of bringing back Muslims into Hindu community, Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind, responded to it by advocating a grand community-wide effort of religious reform, reaching out to hitherto neglected neo-Muslim groups, seeking to draw them into the fold of the Muslim community.
Maulana Mufti Kifayatullah (RH) and Maulana Ahmad Saeed Dehelvi (RH) established separate department of Tabligh and deputed Tableegh delegation in the areas where people had turned apostates. Leaders of the Jamiat led several delegations to the various affected areas. Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind confronted and buried the mischief within two years and fully succeeded in reverting back eleven thousands apostates to the fold of Islam. Apart from that two thousands Non-Muslims also converted to Islam.
