Along with the hardship of partition, there came the conversion of Muslims to other religions. A large number of Muslims was converted in Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan and Gujarat. Jamiat Ulama-i-Hind faced the situation silently and worked among those affected. Jamiat workers were able to bring back to their folds those who had gone astray. In order to educate them, JUH established schools of religious education in the affected area.
